We will dedicate the day to exploring the highlights of Fes with a local guide. Fes is one of the imperial cities and the cultural and religious center of Morocco. We will start by visiting the Royal Palace gate, then the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the oldest university in the world. After leaving the Medina, we will visit the Jewish Quarter (the Mellah). In the afternoon, we will drive to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, return to your Riad.
After breakfast, we will drive south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, known for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style architecture, earning it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.” We will continue to the Cedars Forest, home to Barbary macaques. Feel free to feed them while wandering in the forest. Later, we will continue to Midelt for lunch. Then we will drive to Merzouga through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz Valley, with stops for panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we will reach the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, where you will switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. You will stop on top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset before continuing to the camp. The camp combines traditional nomadic tents with the luxury of a hotel. Enjoy Berber drum music and dancing around the campfire under a vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
Waking up early to witness the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert is a must. After breakfast, you will return on camels to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting. We will then leave the desert to visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a major trading center in the region, with a lively souk three days a week.
After a stroll through the Rissani souk, we will continue to Erfoud to visit one of the fossilized marble workshops. We will then drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra River has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains, creating high red cliff-sided gorges, ideal for rock climbers. Feel free to wander through the gorges and appreciate the stunning landscape. After some free time for lunch at a restaurant, we will continue to the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. On the last day, we will continue our trip to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley, where an annual Rose Festival is held in May. Locals offer various rose products, including perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetic products. We will then drive through the palm groves of Skoura to reach Ouarzazate, where we will visit the film studios where famous movies were shot.
Next, we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has appeared in many movies, including “Gladiator,” “Alexander,” and “The Mummy,” as well as TV series like “Game of Thrones.” We will then continue to Marrakech, driving through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. After breakfast, we will explore Chefchaouen, the blue city, also known as Achaoun, which means “horns” in Berber. Located in the Rif Mountains in northwest Morocco, it is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in white and blue. Wake up early in the morning is a must do, in order to contemplate the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the 8th day of your 13 days Around Morocco tour, to explore the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lake, mines, fossils areas to fabulous oases. Which are ideal places for so many outdoor activities.
Firstly we start our journey in Merzouga, by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit, in their handmade woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking a Berber tea. Our next destination is the Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music. And dancing performances of its inhabitants originating from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that we take a stroll in palm trees grove. After breakfast, we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk.
After a stroll in Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud where we visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble. Then we drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves, to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of Todra river has carved out a grand high red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains. These gorges are an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades valley, through Boumalne Dades. Later on you visit the Koutoubia mosque the largest in Marrakech, and the Majorelle garden. Finally, transfer to your accommodation. Feel free to wander in Jemaa El-Fna on your own.
After breakfast, we drive west to Essaouira city. On the way we will make stops to see the Argan trees goats. And also for panoramic views. We reach the Essaouira city, formerly Mogador, one of the important coastal cities in Morocco. In which we visit the fishing port, the ancient ramparts with cannons, and also the old Medina. Day 9: Guided Tour of Marrakech
After a warm breakfast, we will explore the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. The city is considered one of the imperial cities in Morocco. The visit includes the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque. We will stroll through the largest traditional souk in Morocco and have free time for lunch near Jemaa El-Fna square. Later, we will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest in Marrakech, and the Majorelle Garden. We will then transfer you to your accommodation. Feel free to wander through Jemaa El-Fna square on your own.
Day 10: Casablanca Airport
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Depending on your flight time, we will drive to Casablanca and possibly visit the Hassan II Mosque if time permits. We will then drop you off at the airport, marking the end of your 10-day Morocco holiday from Tangier.

Day 1: Arrival in Tangier – Chefchaouen
On the first day of your 5-day desert tour itinerary, we will pick you up from your accommodation, the airport, or the port in Tangier, also known as “the bride of the north.” The city is located northwest where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel. First, we will explore the beautiful city, the Cave of Hercules, and Cape Spartel. After some free time for lunch, we will drive inland to Chefchaouen, passing through the city of Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, with stops for panoramic views. Overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, feel free to wander through the beautiful alleyways of the blue city, Chefchaouen. The 5-day desert tour continues with a visit to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, which is well-preserved and recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It features many beautiful mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways. After strolling through the ruins, we will drive 30 km to visit Meknes, the Ismaili capital, where we will see Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, the Granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. We will then head to Fes for an overnight stay in a riad.
Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara
After breakfast, we will drive south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, known for its low temperature, snow, and alpine-style architecture, earning it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.” We will then continue to the Cedars Forest, where the Barbary macaques live. Feel free to feed them while wandering in the forest. Later, we will continue to Midelt for lunch. We will then drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz Valley, with stops for panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we will reach the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, where you will switch to camels to cross the sandy desert, with a stop on top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset. We will then continue to the camp, which combines traditional nomad tents with the luxury of a hotel. We will then drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges. We start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate, followed by the well-preserved medieval Medina, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, is the entrance to the old Medina. You will enter the Medina with a local guide to visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, the Tanneries, and finally the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the oldest university in the world. After leaving the Medina, we visit the Jewish quarter, “the Mellah,” and then drive to an ancient fortress for panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. We then return to your riad.
Day 9: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis Ruins – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we depart to visit Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of the imperial cities. In Meknes, we visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, the Granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, we drive 30 km away from Meknes to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Volubilis is well-preserved and features beautiful mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways.
After strolling through the ruins, we head north through Ouazzane to reach Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, also known as the Blue City. The city is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in blue. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 10: Transfer to Tangier Airport
After breakfast, depending on your flight time, you can have free time to stroll through the beautiful alleyways of the Blue City. We then drive through the Rif Mountains to reach Tangier Airport, marking the end of the Marrakech 10-day tour.
Marrakech to ouzoud : Depart at 8 a.m. from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, escorted by an English-speaking driver/guide. The road you travel will take you through the Haouz plain as well as a number of villages and small towns. Then, a mountain road leads to the 110-meter-high Ouzoud Falls, which are located in the Atlas Mountains in the district of Tanaghmeilt, 150 kilometers from Marrakech.
The stroll to the waterfalls is stunning; you may approach the waterfalls from all sides while admiring the wildlife and vegetation of the area. Do not be startled if you notice a large number of monkeys.
The more daring can go for a swim in the river; the water is exceptionally clean, even though it is not very warm.
Descent to find the lovely waterfalls that spring amid the olive trees. You go for a lovely walk around the neighborhood and look at the placards. Lunch at a restaurant with sweeping views of the waterfalls. Take the same route back to Marrakech. At the conclusion of the day, check into your hotel or riad.
